Happy Mother’s Day. It was my honor and pleasure to be able to participate in a small way at the 2018 Run This Mother 5K at McAllister Park on May 13, first by doing a little early-morning volunteer assistance – very little, lol, after having a back procedure on Thursday, and then by taking some before, on-the-course, and after photos. There were about 500 participants in this event – all lovely ladies and a few kids – and I ended up taking over 150 photos, good grief! First time I actually got to see the race leader in a race, lol. I got my own run in by running to various points on the course to get there before the ladies to get some photos; and then ran the course in reverse after the last participants had gone by me. This was a super-nice event, well-organized by the race directors and their many volunteers, sponsors, etc. This one just keeps on growing. Well worth doing, ladies, if you have not done this one before. Post-race party nicely done with mimosas, breakfast tacos, donuts, and more. They even found a post-race beer for me, thank you very much! Love it. Hope I will be invited again to keep on doing my thing at this one, very enjoyable.
Unlike I usually do, I did not do a full report on this one because (a) I was not an official participant for this event and (b) I took over 150 photos for this one, so a report would have taken me forever to process, lol.
